Arion's first string quartet concert featured a richly varied program of compositions for strings featuring the Dvorak “Terzetto”, Schubert’s “Quartettsatz” and a composition by Russian-born composer Lev Zhurbin.

A pair of mid-20th century duos, the Shostakovich Cello Sonata (1934) and Luigi Dallapiccola’s Tartiniana seconda for violin and piano (1956), was followed by Fauré’s great C minor Piano Quartet (1883).

Samuel Barber Cello Sonata, Beethoven's Kakadu Variations, Op. 121a for piano trio, and the G Major sonata for violin and pIano by Johannes Brahms.

The returning Alcott Trio performed Mozart’s C Major Trio, K. 458, the Schumann D Minor Trio, Op. 63, and a new work by the young Finnish composer, Ilari Kaila.
